Hat Wars started at midnight. Of course I was sleeping then, but since I woke up early this morning, I decided to pick a pattern and cast on before work. Normally I am not up early enough to do any knitting before work... today was different. I obviously have the stash of a small scale yarn store, and fortunately I had some good stuff to pick from.
I could have went with some knit picks. I also had cascade and highlander and all kinds of odds and in betweens. But, I thought making a nice wintry hat out of a superwash might be nice. So, I picked a skein of the Ella Rae Superwash that I picked up over the summer. I think this will be a very nice project for my VICTIM. I don't want to say too much here in the case that she is checking my blog. I want it to be a surprise.
But, I did cast on today and I did a bit of lunchtime knitting. But it's K1P1 ribbing and that always takes me forever. But so far so good!
Go go go... Get that victim. :-)
